Nicolás is surprised when Victoria, in order to prove to him that she is as evil as he believes and to give him a reason to hate her, admits to having killed Leopoldo Alcoy. Fernanda hires Grillo, a man who is going to kidnap Hilario to give him a good beating; Leopoldo knows he has to explain to his family the reasons he had for disappearing, but first he wants to talk alone with Federico about what happened. Victoria confides to Clementina that she told Nicolás that it was her who killed Leopoldo because she is convinced that not even a miracle will end the hatred between them.
