Loosely based on the novel Thérèse Raquin by Émile Zola, THIRST (2009) from Park Chan Wook adds a vampiric element to the adulterous tale of murder.

Feeling like the spawn of Paranormal Activity and Rosemary’s Baby, DELIVERY: THE BEAST WITHIN (2009) from Director Brian Netto follows newly pregnant couple Rachel and Kyle as they document the pregnancy for a faux reality TV show.

From Director James Ward Byrkit, COHERENCE (2017) is a simplistically surreal sci-fi thriller that demonstrates the power of a strong script and cohesive cast.

Though its initial release was over 20 years ago AUDITION (1999) from director Takashi Miike still stands up now as an iconic work of Asian cinema with themes that remain relevant in the present day.

Australia is deservedly getting itself a bit of a reputation for good genre cinema and THE PACK (2015) is no exception. Directed by Nick Robertson (Recoil), this tale can stand shoulder to shoulder with the best of the cinematic thunder from down under.

CABIN FEVER (2016) is a relatively brisk but undemanding watch if you can stomach peeling flesh, burning flesh, naked flesh and if you haven’t seen the original it might still hold some surprises for you but, if you have, don’t expect anything new.

While adjusting to a new life in a quiet suburban community, a recently divorced mother (Dawn Van de Schoot) and her two teens receive mysterious red letters instructing them to kill or be killed.

Check out Director Kevin Greutert’s JACKALS (2017). Cults, family disputes, a cabin in the woods and uninvited guests come together in this neat, if occasionally predictable, home invasion thriller.

Despite the intriguing title, compelling premise and fast faced set-up DARK TOUCH (2013) doesn’t quite hit the mark it feels like it’s shooting for. It’s a shame because there is a lot to like here.

From film making partners Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, SPRING (2015) is an ambitiously unique genre-defying romantic horror.
